The AEA Executive Committee announced the appointment of Ayşegül Şahin, currently of the University of Texas at Austin and joining the Brown Economics Department as of July 2024, as the new lead editor for the American Economic Journal: Macroeconomics beginning January 2024. Professor Şahin was appointed after an extensive search that included input from the membership.
