Professor Roberto Serrano Awarded Honorary Degree on Nov. 28th Ceremony

Universidad Complutense de Madrid (Complutense University of Madrid) commemorated the 75th anniversary of the foundation of their Facultad de Ciencias Económicas y Empresariales (Faculty of Economics and Business) by conferring an honorary doctorate (Doctor Honoris Causa) on Roberto Serrano. 

Roberto SerranoSerrano, currently the Harrison S. Kravis Professor at Brown University, earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A) in Economics from the Complutense University in 1987 and a Ph.D in Economics from Harvard University in 1992. This is an especially meaningful honor for Professor Serrano to receive because the Faculty of Economics and Business at the Complutense University carries the prestige of being the first department focused on the study of economics founded at any Spanish-speaking university in the world.
