Rajiv Vohra Elected Fellow of the Econometric Society

Professor Rajiv Vohra, Ford Foundation Professor of Economics, has been named a Fellow of the Econometric Society, a professional organization founded in 1930 to promote theoretrical and quantitative approaches "penetrated by constructive and rigorous thinking similar to that which has come to dominate in the natural sciences."

Rajiv VohraFellows represent the highest authority of the Society, electing its officers, council, and new fellows in annual elections conducted in the autumn. Only four other members of Brown's currently serving facutly enjoy the distinction of election to Fellow of the Econometric Society. Vohra has taught at Brown since 1983 and has served as chair of the Economics Department and Dean of the Faculty. He has taught economic theory to Brown undergraduates and Ph.D. students for over three decades and published numerous scholarly articles in the profession's leading general interest and economic theory journals.
