This Notice is being provided as a result of the filing of an application for permanent Alien Labor
Certification for the relevant job opportunity and any person may provide documentary evidence bearing

Assistant Professor in Economics, Brown University (Providence, RI): The Assistant Professor of
Economics will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in the area of applied economics, introduction
to econometrics, mathematical econometrics, applied research methods, and/or related subjects. Duties
also include curriculum development and advising undergraduate and graduate students. Will maintain an
active research profile, present and/or publish original scholarship in leading national or international
venues. Research will focus on applied microeconomics (including development, public, IO, urban,
environmental and/or labor) and/or applied econometrics. Minimum education requirement: PhD in
Economics (foreign degree accepted). Other special requirements: (1) Possess research expertise in
applied microeconomics (to include development, public, IO, urban, environmental and/or labor); and/or
applied econometrics; (2) Be engaged in a research program with the potential to influence their field; and
(3) Demonstrate the potential for excellence in undergraduate and graduate teaching and advising.
