Glenn Loury named Distinguished Fellow by the American Economic Association

The American Economic Association, the leading scholarly organization of the U.S. economics profession, has honored Brown’s Glenn Loury by naming him one of four Distinguished Fellows in 2016.

Glenn LouryThe award reflects a lifetime of contributions to the field of economics.  In its citation, the AEA states that “Loury has made groundbreaking contributions to the fields of welfare economics, income distribution, game theory, industrial organization, natural resource economics and labor economics” and it further observes that “he has been a leading and provocative public intellectual for forty years” and that his “work on affirmative action has been particularly influential.” More …
