Susanne Schennach, 2014 Frisch Prize recipient, to give von Neumann Lecture at the 250th Anniversary symposium 

Brown Economics in conjunction with Brown Applied Mathematics, Physics and Computer Science departments are pleased to be involved in "The Next 250 Years Symposium" to commemorate the 250th anniversary of Brown University. The theme of this symposium is the figure of John Von Nuemann.

Professor Susanne Schennach was the winner of the Frisch Medal of the Econometric Society for the paper “Estimating the Technology of Cognitive and Noncognitive Skill Formation” published in the May 2010 edition of Econometrica. Professor Schennach co-authored the paper with Flavio Cunha and James Heckman. 

The Frisch Medal has been established by the Econometric Society to encourage the creation of good applied work and its submission to Econometrica. It is given every two years for an applied article (empirical or theoretical) published in Econometrica during the past five years. It is considered one of the three top prizes in Economics.
