Jon Roth Promoted to Associate Professor with Tenure as of July 1, 2025

Economics faculty member Jon Roth has been promoted to Associate Professor with tenure, effective July 1, 2025.

Jon’s research lies at the intersection of econometrics and labor economics, with a focus on improving methods for causal inference. His work addresses key questions in the design and interpretation of empirical research, including how to account for selection bias in observational studies and how to improve the robustness of commonly used econometric techniques. His methodological contributions are widely used by applied researchers across economics and the social sciences.

Jon teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in econometrics, and he serves as an advisor to students at various stages of their academic journey.

Congratulations Jon!
