The CEME Young Econometricians Conference was held at Brown on October 16-17, 2026, and was organized by Jonathan Roth (Brown University) and Hiroaki Kaido (Boston University). The conference, which was co-sponsored by the NSF and the Orlando Bravo Center for Research in Economics, brought together 13 leading assistant professors working in econometrics, the field dedicated to improving the statistical toolkit that economists use to analyze economic policies. The conference fostered interactions among these leading junior scholars, the Brown faculty and graduate students working in econometrics, and two visiting senior mentors in the field, Andres Santos (UCLA) and Simon Lee (Columbia University). The event attracted approximately 35 attendees.
