Rylan Pade
Biography
I grew up in Menlo Park , CA and am the youngest sibling by 9 years in a family of six. I have had a strong interest in finance from an early age and was therefore drawn to Economics upon starting college. I chose Brown because I knew I would have the ability to continue my passion in Economics while simultaneously taking a variety of classes that interested me in departments such as Computer Science, Urban Studies, and Public Health.
This past summer I worked in Technology Investment Banking at Credit Suisse in San Francisco and will be returning full time to Investment Banking at Credit Suisse in New York. Following my sophomore year I worked at Clearlake Capital, a $9B private equity firm located in Los Angeles, and I hope to return to the private equity field later in my career path.
I hope I can be helpful with navigating the finance related courses within the Economics department including and not limited to Investments, Corporate Finance, Financial Institutions, Behavioral Finance, Industrial Organizations, and International Finance, as well as help answer questions to those interested in pursuing a career in finance (or at least connect them with helpful resources along the way). Additionally, as a former three year member of the Brown Varsity Baseball team, I hope I can help others effectively manage concentrating in Economics while playing a varsity sport.
Academic Interests: Financial Economics, International Finance, Technology
