Fifteen students completing their Ph.D. degrees this year have accepted offers obtained in this year’s job market, while seventeen applicants who were offered places in it have accepted admission into the graduate program of Brown’s Economics Department. Graduating students are launching their careers with positions at U.S. and foreign universities, and in government and industry.
Students completing our Ph.D. program were offered positions at (among other places) the University of Western Ontario, NYU Abu Dhabi, Koҫ University, the Federal Reserve, and Charles River Associates.
Meanwhile, seventeen students offered admission to graduate study in economics at Brown have decided to enter the program, an incoming class size near the average of recent years. The class includes students from Chile, Italy, Japan, Russia, and other countries, many of them selecting Brown over other highly ranked programs in economics.
