Getting Help
There are several resources within the department and the university to help you navigate challenges in individual courses or in broader exploration of the field of economics. Academic Support Services offer a myriad of resources to support Brown students to achieve their academic, intellectual and personal aspirations. These include studying strategies, academic coaching, and workshops.
First Gen Advisor
The department offers a dedicated advisor for first gen students and students with a low income background.
For further information please see the First Gen Advisor on our Concentration Advisors page.
Transfer Credit/Study Aboard Advisor
For questions regarding study abroad or transfer credits, please email Professor Susanne Schennach at econtransfercredit@brown.edu.
UFunds
Brown funds are available to help income-eligible students cover financial gaps related to work, academic, curricular and co-curricular opportunities. The E-Gap Funds application can be found on the UFunds website. Please contact Dean Vernicia Elie with questions.
